About

Our Community Shed is not for profit, incorporated and generously philanthropically supported. As with all good and interesting beginnings, Our Shed’s story involves connection, commitment, passion for change, and people coming together.

In 2020, the building was purchased and offered to the community, to think about ways our Shed could be useful.

We started with some values - connection, wellbeing, inclusion, care, neutrality, purposeful and meaningful things to engage in, that supported coming together, working differently, and with difference.

We talked about what might be possible, if we came to know and to build on existing place based and people’s strengths and interests in the face of remote, (political?), climate and social challenges.
